WEEK 7 OF THE ORC HALLWAY MAKEOVER

Week 7 of the hallway makeover was a bit of a disaster. It was one of those weeks where something goes wrong with everything! The beginning of this was the colour of the front door. If you remember, last week I painted the front door, but something wasn’t right. I realised this week the colour was just too dark, so I painted it back to white. I’m trying to avoid buying more paint, so I’ve narrowed down the new colour of the door to four paints which I already have. Which one would you go for?

Front Door Paint Choices

1, 2, 3, 4
  1. Escape by Alchemist Paint. This is the colour of our sitting room built-ins.
  2. Al Fresco by Alchemist Paint. Both the walls and the skirting in our sitting are painted this colour.
  3. Coffee Cake by Fleetwood Paints. After I removed the old laminate on the doors, I painted our utility room cabinets using this.
  4. Palm House Fountain by Colourtrend. The updated Ikea cabinets in our dining room were painted this colour.

Getting the Panelling Ready!

Most of the MDF for the radiator cover and the panelling on the stairs is now cut, thanks to a friend of mine. I’m hoping to get the stairs panelling attached today, so keep a look out on my Instagram stories to see how it’s going!

It’s not looking likely that I’ll get this room finished this week. Everyone doing the One Room Challenge has an aim of revealing a finished project this week. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s! But tune in on Sunday for the next update because I have a feeling it will be a big one! (Maybe I’ll even have it finished!!!)
