Well I got the most amazing email today, telling me that I had been nominated in the Amara Interior Blog Awards!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I honestly jumped around the place for about five minutes, ringing everyone I knew! 🙂 I don’t know which one of you lovely followers nominated me, but I’m so, so grateful…thank you!! So what is this all about you ask? Basically it’s one of the world’s biggest interior blogging award events! There are 10 categories – I was nominated for Best Use of Instagram. (Again, I’m just gobsmacked!) All of your votes, combined with judges scores will decide the top 5 in each category. They get to travel to London and a winner will be chosen from each category.
For those of you who don’t know me, I started my Instagram account, along with this blog, last November. I’ve been avidly reading blogs for a long time and I always wanted to start my own. So I finally did! While there is a lot more work involved than I thought, I just love it! In the last 9 months, I’ve become part of a great community, shared a little bit more about myself…seriously, it took about 7 months to feel comfortable enough to tell people my first name (Noreen, by the way!) and I even featured in an article on The Journal. This nomination is just the icing on the cake!
