MY WINNING MOOD BOARD COMES TO LIFE

Small space with blush pink walls, a painted Christmas in the corner and three pieces of marbled artwork hanging on the wall. There is also a Santa Claus decoration standing in the corner.

In my last post, I showed you how to make this easy DIY marbled artwork! If you remember, my mood board was chosen to design an inspirational space in the Carlow Paint Hub. This artwork was an important part of that design. But a few people have asked what an inspirational space is, so I thought I’d show you a little before and after!

The interior of the Carlow Paint Hub shop. There is a lounge area with a couch and coffee table and the paint mixing area behind it.

The Carlow Paint Hub was running a competition, asking people to submit a design to redecorate a small inspirational space in their shop. Above is a photo of their shop, with a (very fancy!) arrow pointing to one of their inspirational spaces. It’s basically a tiny, three-sided room.

And here’s what the space looks like now. I designed pink walls with a yellow edge near the ceiling and a green triangle shape painted into the corner, to mimic a Christmas tree. As always though, it was the artwork that really made the space come together.

Everyone in the Paint Hub were so nice, we even got a cuppa tea! 🙂 I just loved seeing my design come to life. It was even better when I didn’t have to paint any walls!! Thanks again to the Carlow Paint Hub for choosing my design!
