While I am first and foremost a shop local girl, I have to admit, we do a lot of shopping on Amazon too. What I love most about it are all the reviews. You know I love to research everything and on Amazon that’s kinda already done for me. Plus, I don’t have to think about custom charges after Brexit, as it’s already calculated and included in the price! Looking back on our account, we’ve been buying through Amazon for ten years!! So I thought I’d put together my ten favourite Amazon picks that are still available to buy now!
- I’ve spoken before about the Joshua Weissman cookbook. Everything we (and by ‘we’, I mean Trevor 🙂 ) have cooked out of it has been amazing. It has over 5,000 five star reviews! £10
- I hate cleaning windows and we have a lot of glass! This Karcher window vac has come in handy. I’ve heard it is also very handy to clean bathroom tiles, though I haven’t tried that yet! £40
- This Bosch laser level was a bit of investment, but if you use a level a lot, I’d highly recommend getting one. It came in so handy when I was putting up the utility shelves. £60
4. I couldn’t recommend an Amazon echo more. We love ours and use it constantly. All the lamps in the house are plugged into smart plugs, so Alexa can turn them off and on. We have the echo, which is fine for us but the sound level out of it isn’t huge. I was surprised that there aren’t many echo products available to buy from Ireland, but the one above is. £25
5. Did you know you should sharpen your knives regularly? This knife sharpener is such a neat size, I didn’t even notice it sitting in our kitchen drawer. Over 55,000 great reviews, which is mad isn’t it?! £7.50
6. My all time favourite watch!!! I know it’s not house related, but there was no way I couldn’t add it to the list!! It’s a Garmin sports watch that looks like a normal analogue watch. I absolutely love it!!!! £130
7. We bought this electric lighter a last year and I’ve loved not having to mess around with matches, or using up lots of gas lighters. What I love most though, is the flexible head, as it allows me to light candles still in lanterns etc. £12
8. We would be lost without the pop up socket on our kitchen island. It’s been so handy. Our exact one is no longer available, but I found this one that is very similar and has great reviews! £30
9. We have two of these wall lights outside our patio door and I love the warm glow they give off. It’s both an uplighter and a downlighter, which I always think is so pretty. It’s reasonably priced too! £30.88
10. These are the handles we have along one row of black cabinets in the kitchen. They look great against the matt black and are an amazing price! A set of four for £10.50.
