While the downstairs of our house is the part I most want to change, I’ve never properly redecorated before so I’m thinking it might be a good idea to try an easier room first. Enter the guest room. We often have friends or family staying overnight so I can’t wait to get this room ready for them!
- I’d love to have a plant in every room of the house, however I can NEVER keep them alive for long. Believe me, I’ve tried!! So painted branches will bring a bit of nature into the room, much needed as I predict lots of geometric shapes in my future!
- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE NAVY!!! It’s the one colour I’ve been dreaming of painting on a wall. Oh, I have a feeling this Colourtrend Peacock Navy won’t let me down. It’ll probably look like a cave if I put it on all four walls so I’ll have to contain myself!
- A duck egg blue headboard will complement the navy really well and still look nice against the blue and yellow colours.
- I’m thinking white shelves on a white wall, creating a modern feel. I could fill these shelves with lots of colourful ornaments and books that will really standout against the white.
- I like a small mix of metals in a room. We won’t be changing the gold hardware on the door so I’m hoping to get some nice copper lighting. I love this one from Amazon.
- Isn’t this gold geometric wallpaper gorgeous?! I always think gold and navy make such a good combination.
- I’m a big fan of white bed linen so I’m on the lookout for a throw that has a pop of yellow. Something like this cushion would suit perfectly!
I’ll also be adding a some artwork to this guest room of course. Maybe I’ll DIY one like my oversized, fabric one!
