Deciding on the lighting was one of the most difficult parts of the kitchen renovation. Hours were spent scrolling through every website I could find, searching for the perfect brass wall sconce, or the ideal kitchen lighting for over the island. I was driving myself crazy by the end of it! Someone asked me recently where I bought the island pendants and I couldn’t believe that it took me a while to remember! So just for future reference, I have them here! And while I was at it, I’ve put together a few others that were on the list at the time, as well as a few recent finds.
I’ve also included a list of wall sconces too that I thought were so pretty. I remember thinking it would be so easy to find cone-shaped, brass wall sconces. I actually spotted my ones almost immediately after I started looking, but dismissed them as I thought they were too expensive. But after weeks of searching, no other wall sconces were a right fit. Spending the extra money was absolutely worth it.

My Own Kitchen Pendants
I know some of you will be wondering why I didn’t add my own island pendants to the list above. I wanted to explain a bit more about them here. I actually used a two different companies to hang these pendants. The Fidella glass lampshade is from Dar Lighting. For anyone living in Ireland, I bought these through the Cork Lighting shop. I then bought a brass light holder kit from Creative Cables, added a white fabric cord (which is hard to come by actually) and then used a matt white ceiling rose. I just love them.
